This summer, I was fortunate to have a partner who dared to venture out into the pandemic stricken world with me to find peace and freedom on the open road. Not only was it the road trip of a lifetime, it taught us so many new things about... well, everything! We learned about ourselves, our relationship, our fears, our goals, our limits, and our affinity for finding the coolest hidden spots in America. I highly recommend taking a road trip with your person within the first year of dating, it will open your eyes and heart so much. We hit 28 states during this two month tour of the U.S. and barely saw any rain as we either chased a storm east or ran from a storm to the west. I dealt with debilitating skin issues for much of the trip, which didn't make living out of the car easy for two months, but it did make me appreciate a lot of things. And though Covid was definitely on our minds, we were super mindful of sanitizing and masking up, and had no issues along the way (except when we got to Maine... another story). I'm glad we did this when we did, (June-Aug), it was great timing and we felt/feel very lucky for that opportunity to go out and see the country. So, here are a few shots from the trip, with captions under each with the location, click on smaller images to enlarge. Best wishes to you for 2021, here's to hoping we can all safely travel again soon! :) Driggs, Idaho to Cody, Wyoming To Devil's Tower and Rushmore we go! and then... Maggie! These photos from your Great American Road Trip 2020 are fabulous. I'm impressed to the gills with your sense of the perfect moment and ability and skill to capture images (more often than not) with the compositional eye of a great painter.
